Itinerary description

A nice walk up the ridge to the east of Ohanes with good views. From the road follow zig zags to reach a helicopter pad. Shortly after take a rougher track to the left. Follow tracks up the ridge until a veranda sign points the way to the old drovers road. Climb up via open ground amongst almond trees, much nicer walking than the new track which zig zags across several times. Continue up the ridge to the rather strange ermita . Continue along the track for a short distance then start descending to the left, crossing or following the zigzags. Follow a track NW and continue until the gradient below eases after crossing a stream. Work your way down through old abandoned terracing and almond trees, mostly easy walking in clear areas. Finally meet the Rio Chico path PR A 249 and follow it back to the village.
