Itinerary description
12 10 2021
Ojen – Marbella
This is a one way linear walk, requiring 2 cars. Take both cars to Calle Fernando Vellejo, near the Marbella Poligono. There is plenty of parking here.
Then drive one car back to the main car park in Ojen, opposite the Museo el Molino.
From here you walk to the outskirts of the village where you pick up the old trail. There is a Coviran supermarket at the start.
It is downhill all the way firstly passing several allotments.
Going through the valley the trail meanders the Rio Real which you have to cross on numerous occasions.
If doing this walk around the rainy season you will probably get your feet wet.
This river section is very pleasant.
Eventually you come out at the entrance to Altos de Monteros urbanisation.
Turning right onto a quiet road you go through an urbanisation which takes you to the Bello Horizonte roundabout. Turning right here takes you to back to where you parked the car. From the roundabout there is a lovely view of La Concha.
There was a lovely atmosphere in Ojen as it was Feria week.

Enjoyed the trail we are relatively fit early fifties. Could have done with my walking boots but managed in my trainers (july).
Hola. ¿Crees que sería posible hacer toda la ruta por dentro del río? Sé que tiene un poco de agua pero eso no sería problema, mojarse sería parte de la diversión. Lo pregunto por si hubiera algún tramo de acceso restringido o imposible de caminar. Gracias.
