Itinerary description
One of the most beautiful hikes in Tenerife. Not easy to find but it's worth it.
Be sure to bring with you Water, food, a climbing Helmet, Hiking shoes, Water shoes (the one you use to walk on slippy rocks) for the first cave and HeadLamp (MANDATORY).
The 2nd Cave is hard to see but it's down on your left, a small hole where you must bend and walk on your knees for 20/30 meters. Afterwards you will walk with your body straight.
The 4th cave it's not very wide, I had to took off my backpack to go through it.
Waypoints
Look up at your left and take a little path to the cave
First Cave
This is where you need your Helmet and Headlamp. Change your shoes because it's possible to be water in it. On February there were more than 40cm of water.
Exit.
Change your shoes if you changed them before and keep the right. The path could be hidden by the grass
Route to the next Cave
You'll see a small bridge down on your left but you must go right in the canyon through a steepy and rocky path
2nd Cave
There will be a small hole down on your left. Take off your backpack, wear the helmet and the Headlamp and bend on your knees to access the cave. After 20/30 Meters you will be able to straight up and walk normally
Exit.
Beautiful sightseen, but this is where the danger begins. On the right of the exit it starts the waterpipe path. I will say it again, from here if you suffer from dizziness it's not for you. This should be (I hope in a future) a VIA Ferrata, but there is no safety line
3rd Cave
EXIT
4th Cave
That's the cave that I cannot walk with my backpack on my shoulders. It's tight and not for the claustrophobic
Exit.
