As part of our trip to Khasab city in Musandam peninsula of Oman, we drove to the most picturesque and scenic Khor Najd beach.
The last about 6 Kms is Offroading, few places were steep and with hairpin bends.
4X4 is advisable.
The views from the top view point are very impressive, for best pictures, please reach the area well before 4pm as later the sun sets and the sunrays are blocked by the mountain around.
There is also a ILoveOman signboard at the view point.
For hiking enthusiasts, there is a unmarked but visible hiking trail that beginners can try out. It goes along the shore on the left side of the mountain and it goes for about 3.5 kms on the left side till it reaches a functional village.
Due to shortage of time, we walked only halfway through and returned.
From our hike midpoint, a trail with steps is visible that goes down towards the beach and further to the village.
Some care will be needed while navigating this cliff area.
Lot of camping spots are available.
The waters in the area are deep and rocky, so please take care while swimming.
