Itinerary description
We left the car at Free parking for Puig Campana trails, and went straight up at 1 km vertical trail. It’s very challenging. It’s very steep, lots of loose rocks that makes climb slow and one have to be carefull not to slip, or move too many rocks, that could hit buddy behind you. Many parts you have to do on all fours.
You have to be very carefull to stay on the trail. It’s not easy as there are many paths uphill. Some of them can take you to tricky places.
Going down is not that easy as it seems. It’s pretty steep and rocky at the top. Than it gets easier (flatter) but still rocky. There is a flat nice part from Coll de Pouet to Refugio Jose Manuel Vera Catral.
Fitness endurance is essential here.
If you are not able to do 300 Floors at your gym stair clibmer- skip this one. Tip- shoes with thick, elastic and grippy sole. Gloves is a good idea to.
Happy that I have done it, but next time I will take the backward route and do the Cima Puig Campana, as I didn’t have enough energy to do it after 1km vertical.
