Itinerary description

The walk starts in the village of Orellan (Casa do Louteiro), continues through the village, then a path behind Casa Rural o Palleiro, to join the asphalt road in the direction of the viewpoint on las Medulas (Mirador Orellan).

Then it continues to reach the quite easily accessible ridge of the hill on the southern side of las Medulas (until the Alto de Reirigo). Then it descends through a forest to the complex of las Medulas and follows next to the two main accessible caves (the most touristy part of the walk).

The hike then continues to the village of las Medulas, and continues on the asphalt road down from the village. After a bit more than a kilometre along the asphalt it turns right to pass the hill back to the village of Orellan.

The path on the hill south of the complex of las Medulas is the most difficult part of the hike (it is sometimes narrow and goes through bushes).
