Itinerary description
Please notice that unfortunately the facts about elevation are not correct, but I hope that pictures and the distance can stimulate this hike.
Many hikes start from Orient, and it is easy to understand: the surroundings are incredibly beautiful.
Many excellent trails with varying length are found in the area. Just park the car in the area and start walking.
Orient is accessible only by a winding road which connects Bunyola and Alaró. Some of the house in the small village are from the 14th and 15th century which give visitors a good impression of what Mallorcan settlements looked like 600 years ago.
The village is highly located among olive groves in the shadow of the mountain Puig d'Alfabia. Many people from Palma goes here with their families on Sundays.
Nature is very varied. The area is located in a relatively flat valley with open expanses, quite unusual for being up in the mountains.
Pas de s’Estaló is the highest point of the hike at 569 meters.
