Itinerary description
Circular walk from Ourense into the hills to the Botanic gardens and nearby hills with good views to Orense, then through Cebolino to the reservoir Encoro de Castadon, past the archeological excavations at Castro de San Tome (1st century BC to 2nd century AD) and back via the Lonia river. Some loose footing in the hills, can be muddy underfoot and watch for the blackberry bushes in spring.
