Itinerary description
Nice circular trail around Paran dry basin with a short pegs and ladders section in a slot canyon. The trail starts at the viewpoint above Paran and decends to Ovil creek. The trails continues along the creek where large boulders are scattered and requires a bit of easy scrambling to cross. I've spotted a few nice birds and a group of deset ibexes closeby. The trails continues along the large Paran creek and follows a 4x4 trail to the stat of Vardit canyon. The canyon is a narrow orange-pink slot canyon with small dry water pools (full after rain and floods, when full prepare to get wet) which require the use of two ladders and iron pegs to cross. The trail ends with a short but very steep climb back to the viewpoint.
