Marivent Palace Gardens:
The Marivent Gardens, with 9,155 square meters open to the public, are an example of a Mediterranean garden that, at the same time, is designed as an open-air museum thanks to the presence of the permanent exhibition of the sculptural art of Joan Miró (Barcelona, 1893- Palma. 1983), The Gardens can be visited since May 2017, when they were officially opened to the public. The gardens present an itinerary around 12 pieces created by Miro between 1969 and 1981, by one of the great geniuses of twentieth-century European avant-garde. This joumey through Miro’s art, in which nature and art are combined, is made possible thanks to the transfer in deposit of the works by the artist's family. In addition, one can extend the visit and get to know the Fundació Miró Mallorca (located just 400 meters away) where the artist lived and worked for almost three decades, and where one one can discover both his work and his creative studies.
