Itinerary description
This hike starts with the Palmela Castle, then it's a walk through an ancient roman road. You get to cross Serra da Arrabida on it's lower eastern side, with the view of the ocean and Setubal. The lower part , close to the beach goes between these beautiful cork oak gardens. Once at the beach, you can pick the coastline, which is a bit more adventurous and it includes some light rock climbing depending on the tide, or you can just take the road up to praia da Alburquel, where you can spend some time at sunset. Then, an easy walk to Setubal where you can take the train.

To go: Setubal train from Lisbon, stops in Palmela, then take one of the buses outside the stations that go to the city of Palmela.
