Itinerary description
This is a very pleasant walk from Pampaneira, the first of three well known villages situated above the Barranco del Poqueira.
Pampaniera is situated at 1058 m. above sea level and it has amazing views into the Sierra Nevada as well as towards the Mediterranean Sea.
The walk is a gradual, sometimes a little steep, climb to Bubion, situated at 1340 m. with views into the barranco and towards the higher peaks of the Sierra Nevada and the return is a pleasant descent through open country and wooded area with views towards the mountains near the coast.
Both villages are really worth exploring.
