Itinerary description
My route is a combination of the trail No. 327 and a small circuit route over Tratza out of local winter hiking trails above Pany. These trails are marked (by wooden sticks in pink) and perfectly prepared.
In case, you would be short of time, you can winter hike only on the No. 327: At the waypoint not far after Bova, do not turn right to Tratza but continue down to Pany where you will arrive soon after.
Waypoints
St. Antönien
St. Antönien is a scattered Walser settlement in a side valley near the border with Austria. Its church was built in the middle of the 14th century and is under the patronage of St. Anthony. Over the centuries, the church survived several avalanches, unscathed.
Panoramic view from above St. Antönien
St. Antönien is a fairly snow-sure Walser village - with a nostalgic ski lift - which is situated just a few kilometres to Klosters and Davos, yet away from their hustle and bustle. St. Antönien serves as a starting point for countless tours, including those crossing into neighbouring Austria. (Practically all the peaks north, east, and south to St. Antönien form the border between Switzerland and Austria.)
Bova
Not far after Bova settlement, it is possible to change into the winter hiking trail No. 51 (Loch - Calondis - Tratza). In that way, one can prolong this nice panoramic winter hiking a bit and additionally enjoy panoramic views to the west and north.
Waypoint
Crossroad of a little bit longer winter trail to Pany (No. 45: Tratza - Geisswiss - Riedwies - Skilift Pany) and the chosen a bit shorter winter trail to Pany (No. 48: Tratzastein - Büelenwis - Maiensäss) which connects to the original winter hiking trail No. 327 from St. Antönien to Pany.
