Itinerary description
It is not really a beach but the right banks of the river that surrounds the authentic beach. From there you go up the cliff to follow the route from above as in recent days. On this route there are two surprises in the form of bars in which to rest and drink a beer. One is the Azenha do Mar restaurant and the other is the chill-out bar of Carvalhal beach. In this section of the Vicentina route we have passed genuine heat, about 38 degrees. The cool wind from the ocean did not appear until 15:00. From various points of the trail it is clearly shown the beginning of this route, the Cape Saint Vincent, about 50 kilometres in a straight line. The road runs mainly on sand. It is, without doubt, a very nice and pleasant stage. Arriving at Zambujeira do Mar, we discovered a village with tourism but nice atmosphere. There, we call a taxi (Nelson, 96 154 0170) that took us back to our car.
