Itinerary description
The beginning of this route is not signposted, so in order to follow this route you must have a clear idea of where you are going.
You start this trail in Pau village centre church 'Iglesia Sant Marti', where there are a number of parking spots.
Follow the road Carrer Concepio from the village centre, follow to the end of the road, turn right and cross the road Carrer Vilajuiga. Bear left onto Carrer Llanca and follow this road for a few hundred meters.
You will eventually arrive at a Y-junction on the path (pictured). Bear right onto the narrower footpath. Again, you will arrive at a Y-junction in another few hundred meters - bear right again.
After a passing a picnic area and a vinyard, you will then need to bear right once more at the end of the vinyard on your left hand side. You will begin to ascend gently, and will need to bear left at a pylon.
You will then arrive at the first signpost, as way-pointed in the route, which leads onto the 'Ruta Megalitica' to your right. Follow signs from here onwards sticking to the 'Ruta Megalitica'', and take the off-track signs to view all ancient dolmens on this excellent trail.
There are 2 options however, with an alternative route tracking various different dolmens.
In this route, there will be a steep rise with sometimes unsteady and loose rocks underfoot - so be careful to wear sturdy boots and be prepared.
After an ascent of around 400 meters, you will arrive at a picnic area 'Mas Ventos'. From here, follow signs to Pau.
Pass by the 'Creu Blanca' and begin your descent back to Pau. Before reaching the Creu Blanca, there is a sign to 'Dolmen de Creu Blanca' , which is well worth visiting, but beware of potentially dangerous footing and very loose soil underfoot with a steep decline to this dolmen.
Arrive back in Pau, and enjoy a refreshing drink in the civic centre.

Lovely trail with an intense uphill climb at the start but plenty of shade for shelter on a hot day.
