Itinerary description

A circular walk from Pau Civic centre passing by the Creu Blanca, Mas Ventos picnic area, Palau Saverdera and across the urbanisation between Palau and Pau.

There is a steep rise from Pau to the white cross, and steady walk past Mas Ventos and a steep decline back towards Palau. This is a walk that involves a fair amount of direct sunlight, so either choose a mild day or take plenty of water. On the steep ascent, there is a 'halfway point' which has a shaded rest area and walls to sit on to recover.

Mas Ventos has some picnic tables in a clear but shaded area before the track back down towards Palau.

The descent is steep, so it is not recommended for anyone who has knee problems.

When you have reached Palau, there are a few bars and restaurants before the final steady walk through the urbanisations, which is a fairly level track. But, you must make sure you follow Carrer Holanda to the end of the road in order to link between El Mas Isaac and Pau onto a generally undocumented shortcut towards Carrer Mestral, although there are other alternative paths between Pau and El Mas Isaac.

Enjoy!

A relatively short, circular walk of approximately 3hours. Plenty of rest points along the way with lovely views of both sea and mountains. Loose rocks underfoot so good footwear a must.

Worthwhile walk: lovely scenery, a good workout and completed in about 3 hours so plenty of time for a leisurely lunch afterwards!
