Itinerary description
This must be one of the most beautiful day hikes on the South Island. Braided river, blue lake, crazy apline valley views. Takes 3-4h hours, pretty sure the recorded moving time is wrong, the app kept pausing. It's very steep in places and slippery when dry and wet (Loose gravel). I was very thankful that I took the walking poles, especially for going back down. Seen some people taking of shoes for the steep dirt sections. Bring enough water, and a wind jacket.
Found it from the NZ Frenzy book.
