Itinerary description

Pecho de los Gavilanes Circuit.
The Firebreak Walk

This walk starts from llano de la Venta.

There is some off road parking at the start.

At the first intersection to the left, there is a warning sign for Beehives (but they have possibly been removed as I couldn’t see them anymore).

The terrain is very stony, rocky and gravely.

Wear good walking boots and I highly recommend 2 walking poles especially on the descent of the gravel road.

The hardest part was climbing up the firebreak.   Just find a path that is easiest for you.  There are some Lovely views looking down from the firebreak.

At Waypoint 3 there is a path sharp left that is totally shaded and really nice to walk on.

If you take this path when you get to the Cairn with the pole, you turn right back to your  original route.

At Waypoint 4 you can take the gravel road on your left back to the starting point.

I chose the more scenic route through the woods which was very shaded.

    Hola Senderista73

I did mention about the terrain in my writeup.

    Here is what I wrote:

'The terrain is very stony, rocky and gravely.

    Best Wishes
