Itinerary description

Classic hike in the Madrid surroundings, it will take you about an hour to get there by car or you can go by train to Cotos train station from Atocha (C9 Line). As you may know near the capital city it's always full of day-trippers, so if you go by car try to be an early bird otherwise the car park could be full.

At the visitors centre they have maps available (for free) in spanish and english, toilets and fountains. Along the trail there're natural fountains for drinking water.

Technical difficulty: moderate
Walking through the ridge there is a pass where you'll have to scramble.
Material: hiking, no poles are needed.
Time: around 6 hours including stops for lunch and pictures
