Peñas de Cabrera and prehistoric rock art (pinturas rupestres), Casabermeja, Malaga.

Un amigo que anteriormente visitaba la Peñas de Cabrera nos llevo en un día espectacular de marzo 2019. Fuimos por la carretera Málaga a Antequera hasta llegar a la zona de Casabermeja.
Seguimos la ruta que encontramos en Wikiloc de Maxtodoterreno hasta llegar a la parte arriba de las Peñas. Allí es muy difícil seguir la ruta, así es necesario ir buscando los abrigos uno por uno. En total dicen que hay 22 abrigos y que hay 57 pinturas en total. Una vez que encuentras el primer abrigo, van saliendo las otras hasta llegar a los que tienen más pinturas. Las pinturas son muy interesantes y es increíble que, hoy en día, siguen intactas. Han sido documentados in los años 70 por la Universidad de Malaga.
Es una ruta que vale la pena, pero con algo de dificultad en la zona de los abrigos.
Después de la ruta tomamos un refresco en el Restaurante La Huerta.

A friend who previously visited the Peñas de Cabrera brought us on this walk one spectacular day in March 2019. We went there on the road from Malaga to Antequera road until we arrived in the Casabermeja area.
We follow the route uploaded to Wikiloc by Maxtodoterreno until we reach the upper part of Las Peñas. There it is very difficult to follow the route, so it is necessary to search out the “abrigos” (rock shelters) one by one. In total they say that there are 22 rock shelters and that there are 57 pre-historic paintings in total. Once you find the first shelter, you keep finding more until you reach the ones that have the spectacular paintings. The paintings are very interesting, and it is incredible that, today, they are still intact. They were documented in the 70s by the University of Malaga.
It is a worthwhile route, but with some difficulty in the area of the shelters. After the route we had some refreshments in the Restaurant La Huerta.
