Itinerary description
A beautiful walk with amazing views on the sea from the parking next to the restaurant les Portes del Cel.
Put good shoes and take water with you. The climb from the cove is the most challenging part, for walkers in shape.
We did the trail clockwise looking at the map.
1. Viewpoint and rural walk
First we went to the viewpoint Sa Penya Esbarrada where you have views on the northern coast. Then we went back to the asphalt road and continued south through rural landscape.
2. Pine forest
At km 2.3 you leave the asphalt to walk on the Pujol de Cocons hill (watch which way you take: after the asphalt turns right and goes a bit uphill you are at the crossroads, don't continue on the asphalt on your left, but go straight, you will have two dirt roads on your right). This is a walk primarily through low dry pine forest, with some views on nearby hills.
3. The seaside and the cove
At km 4.3, you reach views of the sea. You start your descent to the cove Corral d'en Guillem. The cove offers a possibility to go into water.
4. Back to the starting point along the coast
Climbing up from the cove was the most challenging part of this walk. We were not sure we followed the right path. There are many lose stones and you need to have your hands free to help you to climb. After the rocky part of the climbing is behind you, you will reach a path going through the bushes. Take the right one. You will then continue on a narrow path through dense vegetation with views on the sea, which is a few dozen metres below you. At km 6.3, you turn right (another viewpoint, from this one you can see the northern coast again). You continue below the wall of a cliff (the first viewpoint of this walk - Sa Penya Esbarrada - is a few dozen metres above you). At the end you turn right to reach the parking.

Way up
This was the most challenging part of the walk. We followed what seemed to be the path taken by other people. Maybe there are other ways up.
