Itinerary description
This circular trail takes you up to one of the best views in Sierra de Mijas! Park the car at the start of the trail and take the trail to the right (the bigger one). After about a hundred meters, turn left and continue up the trail until you get to the paved road at the top by the antennas. Turn left and walk a few meters on the paved road until you see a trail marked Mijas on your right side. Take this trail. It will soon split. To get to Pico Castillejo, take the right path and walk the last 10 minutes to the peak. On the way down, you want to continue where the path split on your way up, turning right (not back where you came from). Continue downwards on this path all the way to the bottom of the mountain. Where you get almost down to the same main road as you drove to the start of the trail, you'll see a narrow trail going to the left where the trail you're on turns right. Take the small path to the left and continue along the road until you get to the parking.
