Itinerary description
Good route to reach both Pico de las Nieve - highest Point at Gran Canaria - and Roque Nublo, most famous peak in just over 13 km moderate hiking.
Be careful at km 6.5 where we go a bit lost before finding the steep trail down.
Quite a large wildfire took place september 22, 2017 on the hillside of Pico de las Nieves, but nothing that really affect the hike. However we made a small miss at 1.4 km where we went left in stead of right in the burnt forest.

We followed this trail today and we enjoyed it a lot! I can also recommend going to Pico La Catedral (at 27.956360975416732, -15.579197031052365), it's just a short detour and views on the clear day are stunning. Thanks.
Really enjoyed this route. Started at the parking lot of Roque Nublo which was empty when we arrived. Climbed up to the Roque & back to the car before picking up our rucksack. The views are definitely worth the effort.
