Itinerary description
¡Gracias!
Another days hiking organised by Mijas Tourism and lead by the guides from Descubre, Carmen, Jairo and Jose (another Jose, how many are there?). It was obvious before we set out that even though the weather was very good in Mijas Pueblo, soon we were going to enter the layer of fog which crowned the Sierra, and especially the Peak of Mendoza which was our objective on this hike. The route follows well know pathways that are part of many other routes in the Sierra of Mijas. Arriving at the Malaga Gap and later the Peak of Mendoza, the temperature dropped significantly and a strong cold wind began to blow. It is a fairly easy route, but hard because of the 600 meters climb from the town of Mijas to the top. As happened many times this winter, we could see nothing from the peak because of the dense fog. However, our guide Jose was crafty enough to point out the mountain ranges and places we would have seen had there been visibility. With this hike I say good bye to the Sierra of Mijas until next Winter. I enjoyed this winter with the guides and hikers of Mijas. Thank you!

Jaja.
