Itinerary description
A fairly long climb from Las Vegas to the Pino del Guirre, a huge pine tree that towers over all others in the vicinty. After the climb, the route crosses the upper part of the Barranco de Las Vegas before descending alongside it and crossing it once more lower down. Once across, the walk is downhill back into the village.
Note 1: After crossing the upper part of the barranco, a threshing circle is passed on the descent. Further down, the route turns left by an old abandoned building and follows the left-hand edge of an abandoned vineyard. The route after the vineyard is a little indistinct but there is a path, just continue in the same direction to eventually arrive at a track. I forgot to waymark this area unfortunately.
Note 2: As you descend into the Barranco de Las Vegas, look ahead to locate the onward path ascending the far barranco wall as once in the streambed, it is difficult to locate due to the overgrown vegetation. Do not walk too far along the streambed but look for an area of trampled undergrowth on the far side of the barranco. The onward path is just above this.

We did this trail today. That is something new for us. the area is very similar to Ifonche which we like a lot. On the off-path section there are several wild figs trees with many ripe fruit :) (Which we did)
Thanks!
The figs were ripe when I did this walk and very tasty!
