Itinerary description
I have climbed up to El Santo in Pizarra many years on Andalusia Day, and decided to repeat the experience again on 28 February 2019. I was disappointed on a number of fronts: apart from Civil Defence and Police. there were only 25 participants at the raising of the Andalusian Flag, and due to the lack of rain in February, the area was dry and there were very few orchids and wild flowers. There was also little activity in the town. The route is well marked and generally easy, but there are a few areas where the Local Government should repair the surface. The Raja Ancha is still an enchanting spot. Will I do this walk again? Now in my 81st year I don't know, but I would like to think I can do it for a few years more. The route is circular and not linear as it says above.
