Playa Mónsul – Cala de la Media Luna
This Sendero starts from the car park adjacent to Casa de Mónsul. Entrance to the national park is 6 euros. To get to the car park which is on the ALP 901 dirt track road, which is a bit bumpy and the speed limit is 20-30 km per hour, and takes about 20 minutes to do the 4.5km to arrive at the car park which is on your right.
This short route takes in two of the nicest beaches in the area -
Playa de Mónsul, with the large Mónsul sand dune with a famous volcanic rock landmark near the waters edge, and the smaller beach Cala de la Media Luna on the adjacent cove.
These are lovely secluded beaches with not too many people due to the 6 euro entrance into the national park.
There are lots of paths to explore and also from here you can do the Sendero Vela Blanca.
