Itinerary description
Poble Nou del Delta is a new town created in 1956 by the National Institute of Colonization of Spain within the framework of the Plan de Transformación y Colonización of Fascist dictator Franco. The original name, Villafranco del Delta, was skipped in 2003. A circular walk through te town, its surrounding rice fileds and mashes and across the sea defence dike to Torre San Juan. Good chance to spot flamingoes.
