Itinerary description
The best view on the western Norwegian seaboard, according to outdoor authority Jens A. Riisnes. I would like to refrain from drawing comparisons and simply state that the view is off the hook. An astonishing mozaic of land and ocean lying at your feet. Far towards the East, the white mass of the Jostedalsbreen glacier can be distinguished on clear days. The climb is straightforward, though steep. The route crosses bare bedrock and is marked with the ubiquitous red T signs painted on boulders. Make sure to switch your GPS (loaded with this track) on in the car: the start of the trail is rather tricky to find. It is a long slog uphill, enlivened by the good company of extremely curious wild sheep. Halfway, the path becomes less steep and rewarding views start to unfold.
