Itinerary description
Hotel Rias Bajas with nice breakfast at 8am.
TRACK
Track pretty easy to follow , with some shortish medium slopes on the 1st third of track and then it´s flat. Mostly shaded as sun rises on the right side. On and off road track but majority is off.
San Cayetano, small coffee place (seasonal) around 4.5km.
Just after end of a bush trail at around 8km, A Pousada do Peregrino and 20mts further Méson Don Pulpo (in Barro) for a nice coffee break.
Shortly after there is a detour to go off road for 100mts or so and after that a bollard and on the floor ´albergue´word. You can actually go through it as it comes back on road another 100mts or so.
A Taberna de Rey around 14km, after crossing road to your left.
Lady selling some fruit on the field at around 16km.
O Cuberto (Nick) is around 18km. Good for drinks, chips, bocadillos, empanada, etc.
Caldas de Reis has 2 pubs after bridge, on either side of the road. O Muiño pub is open from 7pm to midnight.
Balneário Acuña is ok, although lodges near pool can get really uncomfortable on very hot days (no air con). Thermal pool is nice and reasonable dinner was served at 8pm.
Torre do Rio is spectacular, even though service is a bit clumsy sometimes. Dinner is ok but breakfast is better.
