Itinerary description
Roundtrip from Port d’Andratx (S'Aluet bus stop) to the top of the highest mountain of Port d’Andratx (Sa Talaia del Port de Andratx), at a height of 309 m, located between Port d’Andratx, Cala Llamp, Cap des Llamp and Camp de Mar.
There are spectacular views from the top: to the northwest the Dragonera island, to the north the Galatzó, the Mola de s'Esclop, Andratx and its port and Puig de Garrafa, to the east the Toro, Camp de Mar and the Malgrat islands. And also the dizzying cliffs of the summit itself and Cap des Llamp.
The track departs from the S'Aluet bus stop in Port d’Andratx along the road Cami Vell de Cala Llamp until 0.9 km. Then turning left into the woods. After 1.8 km there is a nice viewpoint (to the right) overlooking Port d’Andratx and Cala Llamp. After 3.7 km there is another nice viewpoint towards the Dragonera island. From there follow a hardly visible path marked with stone cairns to the top (Cami de sa Talaia) (309 m) after 4.3 km. After 8.1 km the path arrives at the Ma-1020 paved road to Port d’Andratx. And after 8.8 km back on the Cami Vell de Cala Llamp to the end and start point at the S'Aluet bus stop in Port d’Andratx after 9.3 km.
Port d’Andratx is modern port town, with approximately 3,000 inhabitants, and enjoys a picturesque setting located around 5km from Andratx town. Port d’Andratx is one of the most spectacular natural harbours in Mallorca. It’s a stylish port, with a well-maintained and equipped yacht club. It offers a variety of activities related to the sea. Although it has many restaurants to suit the yachting set, Port d’Andratx is still a working fishing port where one can sit outside one of the many cafés and bars watching the bustle of daily maritime life.
