Itinerary description
A walk along the main roads from one impressive castle to the other. Not the funniest thing in the world to hike along main roads, but apart from that - nice views over the lakes and rivers from the bridges, and a fantastic panorama view when walking uphill to Monsaraz.
Note: This is not meant to be a proposition for a nice day-hike in Portugal. It's a tracking and descripion of one of the stages of a thruhike, following one of the old medieval routes through eastern Portugal.
