Itinerary description

For the most part this is a walk on the main road 221 between Freixo and Mogadouro. Pine forests, farmland and mountain views, as well as view down to the Douro river at one point. Some quiet parts on dirt road, away from the main road.
NB: This is not a stage that is a nice day hike. Neither the most scenic route between the two historical villages. The route was chosen to cut down on the km in order to make the stage in one day. If you don't fancy road walking, this is not a route for you. An alternative is to walk by the village of Mazouco.
