Itinerary description

The stage starts in the center of Braganca, by the Old Church of Sé. From there it follows the old pilgrimage road to Santiago (waymarked with yellow arrows). It's a lot of up and down hills, with good views on the top. Passing the villages of Lagomar, Portela, Castrelos and Soeira before you reach river Tuela and walk the old roman bridge to the other side. There is a beautiful place to take a swim right before you come to the bridge. Then there's Parque Fluvial, with a restaurant (the only place to get some food on todays stage). From there you walk uphill to Vilaverde before you descend down to Vinhais.
