Torrealquería Circular Trail (PR-A-294)
Circular tour through the Sierra de los Espartales, Cartama and Alhaurín de la Torre to pass by the village of Torrealquería

This hiking trail makes a circular route for the most part through the Sierra de los Espartales, Cartama, although it makes a foray into the territory of Alhaurín de la Torre, to pass next to the village of Torrealquería.
How to get to the starting point
The starting point of this route is in the upper part of the town of Cártama. Specifically, on the rise of the hermitage of Our Lady of Remedies (COORDINATES 36.709459, -4.631316). To get to this point you have to go into the surroundings of this village of the Guadalhorce Valley to the area located in the surroundings of the church of San Pedro to park the vehicle.
Fauna and flora
The Carmean mountain range of the Spartans has a wide repertoire of traditional crops, such as almond trees, vines, chumberas, olive trees or olive trees, which coexist in the landscape with other plant species, such as palm, thyme, rosemary, enebro or fennel, among others. You can also see some rams along the way.
When it comes to wildlife, birds such as swift, black collalba, common kestle or even some larger birds of prey are occasionally sighted. Some small mammals, such as some rodents, and some reptiles, such as lizards or snakes, can also be spotted.
