PR-A 382 (Modified) Rio Grande Circular
This is a great country hike using most of the PR-A 382 sendero Los Dos Rios, which is now de-listed.
The first section uses a minor road where you get the odd car, but after crossing the bridge over the Rio Grande, there is very little traffic. On this road I added a waypoint to a larger parking area, in case a larger group would like to do this route. I also came across a few processionary caterpillars for the first time this season where I also added a waypoint.
I avoided going up the small ravine and used the concrete road further down. This was the steepest part of the walk, but wasn’t too hard.
Making your way downhill you will see Alozania in the distance.
After crossing the Río Grande for a second time you pass an irrigation canal before heading into a wooded area of eucalyptus trees. Then you pick up the last minor road that takes you back to the start.
