Itinerary description
This PR walk starts in the village of Barão de São João and runs through the green hills around the village.
Striking about this trip are the dozens of windmills that are running everywhere and generating green power for the country.
The original PR is 6km long and is perfectly indicated in red/yellow.
From the parking lot it goes straight up to the first highest point the 'Pedra Branca', a concrete round marking pole indicating the highest point in the area.
A little further on is the namesake of this walk, the 'Menhir Pedra do Galo' a somewhat unsightly cylindrical carved stone from the Neolithic era.
This PR route is definitely worth a walk.
