Itinerary description
PR12 Fervenca Route - Sabugueiro
Starts with a small crossing of the narrow and medieval streets of the village. Crossing of the river Fervenca, and climbing up in a narrow path typically used by sheeps and goats.
Up above we take a road open in the mountain and you can see on your right an old glaciar valley, where there’s still evidences of, namely on the rocks.
The top is reached at 1235mt up. After that is starts the descending, and here is the most tricky part of the route as we leave the road, and starts the trail part.
The signs are a bit hard to be seen at times, also there is a rain water course which can create a bit of challenge while walking. Recommendation is to take proper shoes and avoid it in rainy days.
Nice bridges, waterfalls and the view over the valley is amazing!

Nice short trail with many amazing views, perfect spot to have a rest in the middle (on the top of the one of the big stones) and on many places to have a refreshment in the stream.
On sunny days, I recommend to do this hike early in the morning, when you'll have the best light for the panoramas visible along the way.
