Itinerary description
This route is a partial PR2 Birch trail (7km) combined with a detour through a very interesting path, known as the Inca route (8km)
The PR2 Birch Trail does not need any presentation, it’s actually presented twice in my past trails.
The Inca route, is an old path way, crafted in the schist by hand hundreds of years ago across the mountain hill.
It has been connecting mountain villages during the last centuries, and once had a relevant role on the economic prosperity of this area.
It reminds the original paths made by the Inca civilisation across the Ands in South America. It is arguably the origin of the name of this route, which is perhaps even contemporary to the famous ones in the Alps.
No special care: but hiking boots, sun screen, something to protect from the heavy winds in this exposed area and some attention in some cliffs are important.
Avoiding to do in times of rain is also recommended.
