Itinerary description
You will find mixed routes when it comes to the physical and spatial context in which trail develops.
In its beginning, the trail passes through the rural areas, through the green meadows and crop fields. Afterwards there's a transition on the landscape from the rural areas into the mountains. The beauty of the River Lage stands out with its mills and bridge. Then comes the Sierra Cabreira with its natural richeness, with its polymorphism, with its peculiar colour palette, with its light ... If you're lucky, you'll see some animals that are abundant in the Sierra Cabreira. Among the species that usually can be found in this area, it is worth mentioning, the rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), the red partridge (Alectoriz rufa), wild boar (Sus scrofa), many passerines and eventually some birds of prey. Note , that you can also pass by a place called “Quebrada”, where, even today,the marks of the exploration of tungsten, that formerly took place in this region,are very present .
