Itinerary description
Tucked away behind the Sunhine Coast is a lovely lookout known as Pt Glorious. You can drive there but we prefer to hike it. This 13km circuit starts from York Creek Rd, 7km NW of Yandina. This reasonably steep trail ascends 300m, but being along old forest tracks, its not hard to follow. The western trail takes you 7km up to Pt Glorious where you get great views of Mt Eerwah, Mt Cooroy, Mt Tinbeerwah, Mt Cooroora plus more. The lookout is also on the edge of a cliff used by rock climbers, so often you can watch them testing their skills. To complete the hike, head down the eastern trail 6km and back to the start. 1km from the end, you cross Carol Creek which, if you like bush bashing, you can walk 1km along to find a beautiful waterfall.
