Itinerary description
Hey there, this is my first recorded trail and the second attempt to conquer the top of the Peñalara.
See more on youtube https://youtu.be/FbhPN9SWhVE
The first time we thought that we are smarter than the trail signs and could find the shorter way, and after 5 hours we got that we even didn't reach the half of the way, and we weren't prepered that in the beggining of April there still could be snow in Montains, so we returned back. So the tip number one follow the trail and be prepered that the temperature could be low :))
After one month we decided to finish with that, and on May 1st we returned with hoping that there will be no snow(hehe, what a silly we were:))
This time the weather was worst than the first time, and half of the trail was closed (Laguna de los pajaros) so the trail took less time than usual.
The top was covered by snow, so if you want to repeate the trail think first about warm clothing and waterproob shoes.
You don't need any special tool for clambing, but good phisical training it's a musthave as the climb in some place is very step, and in our case it took like 4 hours with breaks as we cut the trail, but the whole trail takes like 5,5 hours.
