Itinerary description

Did you finish the Ruta del Cares at Caín and you don't want to go back all the way to Poncebos?

From Cain you can go walking to one of the most emblematic places of Picos de Europa: Fuente Dé, passing through Posada de Valdeon. I think you can go directly (Cain>Fuente Dé), but it's a more difficult trail.

So, from Caín you can go to Posada de Valdeon walking (9km).
From Posada de Valdeon you can do the trail "Ruta del Mercadillo" that ends in Fuente Dé (search on Wikiloc);

An alternative do that trail, you can take a ride from Posada de Valdeon to Puerto de Pandetrave (10 km). From there you have have this well-defined gravel road to walk until Fuente Dé (12 km). It is a safe trail and you can do it by yourself.

Note: you don't have buses in Posada de Vandeon. To leave Posada by car, you must take a taxi; only authorized taxis make the short rails from Posada to Valdeon.
