Itinerary description

Idea to prevent up/down same trails. We choose to go to Fornalutx over Sa Capaletta. The other leg is better should we return later than planned. At the main road (WP) we followed it downwards a few curves (not nice) to start Camino Real trail (other option is to follow the road UP and connect with the old Camino Real trail at higher point. The start of Camino Real is blocked by owners with gate and objects. In stead we took trail s'Alzina Fumadora a little further up. Long way of steps to follow. Cross main road again to start of Es Pla de Sa Bassa. Wonderful green area that feels like a park. At the T-split we go right until the beginning of the trail to the summit. Official notice says acces only allowed on Monday, Wednesday & Friday (except on holidays in period August - January). Trail continues, at waypoint we decide to go anti-clockwise meaning the toughest part (wild, high vegetation, steep) comes here. Watch-tower is only visible shortly under summit. View at the top is superb at the foot the fire watch-tower. The way down is easy to follow. At the joining waypoint, for the first time we see our footsteps again, but only to the split (waypoint) at the Pla de Sa Bassa. Here we go straight ahead. Easy to follow path that ends with a closed gate at the main road. There is a whole left of the gate that gets you through. Hop over the road to the beginning of the Camino Real (old trail, not marked at the start). We follow the way down, in bushy dark area. Apart from some points it is obvious to follow. At the end we hope to find an exit, as the normal one is blocked (like stated before). The trail leads us to a concrete (private?) road to the main road with a closed gate but lucky enough there's a button that opens it. We're out. Cross the road and pick up the s'Alzina Fumadora trail down to Fornalutx. There we take the trail back to Soller over Binibassi. Apart from a short stretch, we managed this hike in 3 loops without hiking the same way for almost 15k.
