Itinerary description
A lovely hiking or trail running loop from Refugi de Malniu (€3 parking fee), above the village of Meranges. The outward part takes in the summit of Puig Pedrós 2915m and then follows the Spain/France border westward, over Pic d'Engorgs 2818m and Tosseta de l'Esquella 2863m, before dropping off the ridge at Portella de Calm Golomer, into the Torrent d'Engorgs bowl. The views over France and Andorra are superb.
The return route is on a much better path traversing round the mountain through forest, with lovely views down into Pleta d'Engorgs. The two halves have a very different feel, which adds to the interest.
