Itinerary description
This is a delightful horseshoe walk but with a long lead in to arrive at the small hamlet of Purgatory. There is no good parking here. Once past purgatory on the main track ignore the waymarks off to the right - these indicate the return route. Carry on until a gate appears and shortly afterwards from the 4x4 track take a small track leading off to the . left with a steep incline. The path is way marked and eventually joins another path that then contours to the right giving views up to the radar station and at times back down the valley. Continue for some time ignoring a path off to the right but continue to the ruin of Don Blas where a RH turn is taken for 300m or so until another path is signed to the Right. Follow this for some distance as it contours and descends to the signpost indicating "Purgatory 4.9k" This is the return path giving views across to the earlier leg of the walk
