Itinerary description
Avoid the entrance fee to Cat Cat! This route takes you through a tiny village and some rice farms, past paddies and water buffalo, and down to a river. We walked along the river barefoot and climbed up a little further down - but you will have to walk across the rice paddies to do this which can be very muddy! It's a lot of fun though.
If you prefer, you can walk back up the way you came once you reach the river. Out here, no one will try to sell you anything and it's an easy trek to do without a guide. A very beautiful walk.

This is anything but off road and takes you straight to cat cat. Don’t bother.
Ignore the comment above, it takes you on the main road PAST Cat Cat (Really don't recommend going to Cat Cat). You do however have to pay 40,000 VND each to walk along the path. In theory this is because it's part of a tourist route. Anyway, in my opinion, it's worth the money. The path through the rice fields is really nice and we went swimming in the river. We returned along the same path we took down instead of doing the loop.
