Details/ how to walk (or use the GPS trail)
Go up the stairs at the side of the parking lot between the first and second cross over.
You now walk into Calle la Union, this street ends at the edge of the village.
Go left and continue along the river on the edge of the nature reserve and the village.
Walk along the pharmacy.
The street ends at a spring, go to the right here.
-If you go up next to the spring you walk into Calle Iglesia and you will see the old Moorish church of the village. Walk back again if you've been to the church.
Keep right at the Y split so you walk into Calle Puente and go towards the bridge.
Keep right and cross this old Moorish bridge called "Puente Ãrabe".
From here there are also other walking routes such as the GR242 to Canillas de Albaida (8km) and the long-distance hike GR249 (Gran Senda de Malaga).
We continue our way along the path after the bridge, keep going to the right (GR249) and walk up.
Go to the right at a junction of paths and follow the white yellow green marked posts for a short whike. Walk up further with the village on your RIGHT hand.
On the left of this path you'll see a shed with communication antennas in a few minutes..
Stay on this path, it has now white - green marking poles.
-On this path you will find juniper and other healthy herbs-
-Halfway a sign SL-A 64-
However stay on your walking path and don't start following this SL-A 64 !
Keep left on an Y split (at the big olive tree), just after this split you see the signs "park natural" (LEFT) while going up.
You end up at a long gravel road.
Go right here.
You're now walking over a mountain ridge with a valley on both sides.
The village you see on the right is not Salares (which is too low to see) but Sedella-
This is also the highest point of the route. Continue on this road.
On the left you can see, in the distance, Cómpeta and Canillas de Albaida. There are fig trees and almond trees along the way. You also see the green - white marked poles again.
The path leads to the asphalt road that goes to Salares.
Go right here and you're back in Salares in 10 minutes. At the end of the parking road in Salares, on the left, is Cafe Meson los Arcos.
Buenos dia, Adios
