Itinerary description
A pleasant and well-marked trail with rewarding vistas over Geneva and the valley. Solid trekking shoes or hiking shoes required for a few narrow and very steep parts, but as those parts are limited, the hike is accessible also for occasional hikers with solid experience and without vertigo. Nonetheless I gave this a 'difficult' rating to make sure people understand this is not an easy path. Not recommended if there is snow or after heavy rainfall. (For beginners, the Pas de l'Echelle route via Monnetier in the Eastern part of the Salève is recommended.)
Start at Salève Téléphérique valley station, walk south-west to cross the highway after 10-15 minutes. Once you found the first indicators, continue following the yellow arrows.
From Geneva, take bus 8 to Veyrier Douane for easy access without a car.
