Santa Elena (1.111 m.)

<<< English follows >>> Dejamos el coche a la entrada del pueblo de Musitu. El objetivo es llegar al pico Santa Elena, de 1.111 metros y, también, pasar por el pueblo más alto de Álava, Onraita. Al poco de empezar nos encontramos un antiguo molino (molino de Igoroin) de agua usado para moler harina. El río del molino nos acompaña y hace que la humedad del entorno sea alta, provocando que exista mucho musgo alrededor. Esta parte de la ruta es un paseo agradable y tranquilo, por un camino estrecho rodeado de verde con hayas alrededor. En WPT “Cascada” es un lugar excavado en la roca, con una visera abierta. Cuando el río lleva agua seguro que es un lugar muy bonito. Se puede pasar por detrás de la cascada. Tras esta cascada se llegará a una zona en la que hay que andar pendiente del GPS para no saltarse desviaciones. El tramo Norte de esta ruta nos muestra Salvatierra y la Sierra de Elgea, justo enfrente. Aquí sopla mucho viento y no puedo volar el dron. Esta ruta, en conjunto, tiene varias zonas distintas y hace que sea un paseo muy entretenido. La lástima es que en esta época del año los árboles están sin hojas y no hay mucho color verde. Consejo: en el WPT que así lo indica, no hay que pasar la alambrada; hay que dejar la alambrada a la derecha. Sí hay que pasar por la puerta metálica que hay a la derecha, junto a la antena. <<< English >>> We leave the car at the entrance of the village of Musitu. The objective is to reach the Santa Elena peak, 1.111 meters and also pass through the highest town of Álava, Onraita. This part of the route is a pleasant and peaceful walk, along a narrow path surrounded by green with beech trees around. WPT "Waterfall" is a place dug into the rock, with an open visor. Surely, when the river carries much water it is a very beautiful place. You can go behind the waterfall. After this waterfall you will reach an area where you have to keep an eye on the GPS so you do not miss deviations. The northern section of this route shows Salvatierra and the Sierra de Elgea, just opposite. Here it is very windy and I can not fly the drone. This route, as a whole, has several different areas and makes it a very entertaining trail. The pity is that at this time of year the trees are without leaves and there is not much green.
